Making Christmas presents….

It’s been such a weird year, and the holidays are definitely no exception. We wanted to put together some holiday arrangements for family, friends and neighbors since we can’t have our normal gatherings.

I started with flower arranging foam–that will hold water to keep them fresh, and then added greenery that I clipped from around the house while I was waiting for the roses that I ordered from Costco to arrive. I don’t know if you have ever tried flowers from Costco, but I have had great luck with them. I bought 50 roses–25 white and 25 red–for $39.99. I was able to make 6 arrangements of various sizes with them.

Here’s what they look like when they arrive.

Each color was rolled up with protective paper and plastic. Once I unpacked them, I clipped the ends and put them in water to give them a good drink before I arranged them. (I will have to remember that this vase looks gorgeous with 50 roses in it.)

Here are before and after shots of the arrangements–with just greenery, and then with flowers and embellishments added. When the roses open up more, they will be so full and lush and gorgeous.
