2020 has been a tough year for us. We lost our dear neighbor, despite Mike and Chris’ valiant efforts at CPR. We also said goodbye to our two dogs, Delilah in the summer, and just a few weeks ago, our sweet Charlotte. Chris didn’t get to enjoy a proper graduation ceremony after finishing a BSME at Auburn University. Jackson has been struggling with a mechanical engineering program that is all online. We’ve missed countless meals together with family and friends. Then there’s the stress of the unknown that we’ve all been living with–the election; the impact of the pandemic on our economy; and worrying about who may contract COVID and whether or not they will be okay. Those are all in addition to our everyday worries.
As my husband would say, we are ready to put 2020 in our rear view mirror. I am hopeful, and cautiously optimistic about 2021.
As you celebrate the beginning of a new year, or the end of one long terrible year, I wish you peace, health, and happiness in the coming year. I look forward to spending more time with you in person.

Amen Sister!!
