This is a little adventurer table with guide books for local wildlife, a book of knots, journal, turtle shell, magnifying glass, net, flashlights, and binoculars (one is actually a flask).
Simple place settings with white dishes, glassware, flatware, and brown napkins.

LOVE The Ashley Book of Knots. Such a gorgeous book–what an artist! And dishy, to boot (check out that author photo!). His daughters still live in the Westport MA area (in the summer, at least). I was always on the lookout for a big exhibit or estate sale or something while visiting Kurt’s folks on vacation. Alas, no joy. My crowning Ashley knot achievements were a) learning a Turk’s Head, and b) making the emergency cufflinks he describes out of some red monk’s cord. So cool.

That’s so funny that you recognize that book. Most people have never heard of it.
