My college roommate and her husband visited us this weekend and we went out on a cocktail cruise on Saturday night. She suggested that we make French 75s to take along with us. We also brought some of the cheaty crostini, prosciutto, and cheese.

We made a pitcher’s worth of them. Here are the proportions from Sarah:
French 75
10 oz gin (we used Hendrick’s)
5 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
5 oz simple syrup
Shake with ice and strain into a flute or coupe glass to about 1/3 of the glass and top with champagne or prosecco–we used La Marca.
