I posted a photo the other day of Lunaria in the garden. They were finally ready to pick, so I picked them and put them in a huge pitcher. They are still green now, but I didn’t put them in water so that they will dry out. Once dry, they will turn white and translucent.

I started the table with a parchment colored washed linen tablecloth and I added the log rounds that my husband made for me a couple of years ago. Not surprisingly, a couple of them have cracked and they aren’t quite as level as they used to be, but I still think that they are rustically charming and I love my husband for making them for me. I need to let them sit out more because you can definitely tell which ones have been getting used versus the ones that haven’t.

I imagined this table as a bourbon dinner and used white dinner plates, russet colored napkins in wooden rings, water glasses and pewter Jefferson cups. I added some bourbon/whisky bottles to the table as well.

Cathy, you are so clever, and I am glad to learn about Lunaria. I was not familiar with it. Love the idea for chargers!

I have loved it since Grandma had that big vase of it at the bottom of the stairs.
