A friend and I went on the East TN Food Tour today and I got some gourds, squashes, pumpkins, and apples that inspired this table.
I assembled an assortment of containers in various materials, but all in shades of brown–metal, pottery, and wood. I placed these on top of a natural washed linen table cloth. I added the produce from today, plus some of the dried money plant from a few months ago. I also used some brass candlesticks and white candles to finish the centerpiece.
For the place settings, I started with my log slice “chargers”, flatware, glasses, and beautiful russet napkins in wooden rings. I am imagining this as a buffet dinner to celebrate a successful harvest.

I hope that you are enjoying the first hints of fall!
