Our Actual Christmas Tree

I had surgery at the end of November and knew that I wouldn’t be up for taking down a lot of Christmas decorations so I am using our little tabletop tree again this year.

There are a few whimsical items in the living room and I bought a whimsical tree skirt from Crate and Barrel (I think, or possibly the Company Store). I wanted the top of the tree to echo the skirt, so I bought a really cute and well made felt star from Etsy. This particular group of makers has some wonderful and unique items, so be careful or you made end up with a lot of items in your cart.

My husband’s favorite ornaments are all the ones with photographs in them, so I used ALL of those on the tree and we have a lot. Next I put on a darling garland with packages, elves, and Santa in it. That didn’t seem like quite enough on the tree so I added some intricate card stock snow flakes by Beistle (made in the USA). It still wasn’t quite as full as I like, so I curled some Cream City ribbon and tucked it in among the branches. Then it was finished.
