Treasure Hunt for Light Fixtures

My husband and I just returned from a work trip (for him) to Lansing, MI. He went to classes on Industrial Ventilation (yawn), while I went out seeking treasures at local antique and architectural salvage stores.

I wasn’t sure what I would be able to find, but it turns out, there are a bunch of really cool old light fixtures for sale in Michigan. I found one particular store that had a bunch of just what I was looking for.

This booth was chock full of all kinds of treasures, but I had to be selective because we didn’t have a lot of room.

Here’s what I brought home:

I found this little fixture at an otherwise terrible antique mall and it was 50% off. We’re going to use this above the toilet in the bathroom.
This is one of a set of three really cool arts and crafts style fixtures that we’re going to use in the stairwell.
This is going to go in the hallway that leads to Mike’s office and the bathroom.
There are a pair of these that we’re going to hang above the bar.
We bought these in Waynesville, OH thinking we would use them in the stairwell, but we found some others that we like better, so I am not sure if/where we are going to use these. We may restore them and sell them.

If you are looking for antique light fixtures, we also stopped at Architectural Antiques in Indianapolis, and he had SO MANY. He also had tons of doors and hardware. Be prepared to dig for some of it.

More updates on the basement to come!
