We haven’t done anything to the strawberry patch since 2021, and the strawberries had gotten SO thick that you could barely walk through the patch to pick strawberries. Fortunately, the soil is really good in the strawberry patch, and strawberry plants are EASY to separate.
We dug up 95% of the strawberries.

But believe it or not, what’s left is PLENTY to replant the entire bed.

It may not look like it, but just this little strip of plants is probably over 100 strawberry plants.

And then we have all the plants around the stone.
We gave hundreds and hundreds of plants away, and still are going to throw some away.

If you live in the south, and have a strawberry patch, now is the time to plant or divide your old plants.
We’re going to add some soil, because we definitely lost some in the process, and then mulch and then separate all the plants and replant them. I’ll post more on that later.

You have been busy.
