In the spring of 2021, we planted 35 little forsythia bushes along our neighbor’s retaining wall, and then in the fall of 2021, we planted another 65. I don’t know if you can really tell how big these are, but they are probably 7′ tall. They are getting ready to bloom in the next several day.
I am killing the grass further out because I had to prune these back 3 times last year so that I could mow around this area–and pruning 100 bushes is a LOT of work. I ordered the rock and it will be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Here’s what they looked like when we planted them:

They’ve done exceptionally well in this location, but I think that the drought last summer/fall may have taken a couple of them out.

They are so pretty when they bloom and then make a nice hedge
