We had family over and the forecast was for temperatures in the 90’s, so this orange heavy tablescape made sense.
I was drawing inspiration from the Villeroy and Boch Bonjour Monsieur salad plates which have bright green, light blue, yellow, and two different colors of orange. So, I started with a light blue tablecloth–white seemed way too formal for such a fun/playful table setting. Then I put white mums, yellow button mums, and orange and yellow zinnias in some orange flower pots (I put mason jars in the pots to ensure that I didn’t have any water leakage. I also put out some really cute painted orange and yellow candle holders that I found at the thrift store.
For the place settings, I used my persimmon fiestaware dinner plates, the salad plates, and an orange napkin. I thought about using my lemon/lime slice embedded glass tumblers, but decided that would be too much.
Here it is:

Fortunately, it ended up not being quite as hot as the prediction because we had some cloud cover, but it was still plenty warm.
What do you think?

Very cheerful
