I love to wrap a beautiful package, but people who know me will tell you that if it’s magazine worthy, there is probably the worst prank gift in a gorgeous box. Over the years, I have found some fantastic sources for reasonably priced packaging items, and some are even made in the USA!
Cream City Ribbon creamcityribbon.com has really great cotton curling ribbon and is made in Wisconsin. They have tons of standard colors and patterns, but you can also get custom printed ribbon for your event or business. LOVE IT!
Nashville Wraps nashvillewraps.com has so many packaging items. Absolutely the BEST price on gift bags hands down and most are made in the USA. Gift tags, great big sheets of all colors of tissue paper, gift tags, decorative boxes, ribbon, shrink wrap, cellophane, etc. They also have food packaging items. It’s easy to get carried away, especially for a wrapping material addict like me!
Webstaurant Store webstaurantstore.com has loads of food packaging items if you need things that Nashville Wraps doesn’t carry like foil pans, or plastic take out containers. Unfortunately, many of their items are sourced overseas.
I have used these sources extensively over many years and have always had great experiences. Good luck on your holiday shopping and wrapping!
Here’s a repost from a couple years ago when I used items from some of these sources:
When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of being presented a large stack of beautiful boxes topped with a fancy ribbon, just like in the movies. So this year, I bought stacks of boxes for everyone (Nashville Wraps). These boxes are not very big, so I had to come up with coordinating wrapping paper for the largest items. I am really happy with how they came out.
This group is for my oldest son’s girlfriend. The ribbon is from Cream City Ribbon (I love their ribbon) and the paper is from Innisbrook. The stack of boxes, the paper, and the ribbon are all made in the US.

This group is for my oldest. I love that the green ribbon is such a good match for the boxes. I bought it at Ace Hardware here in town years and years ago. (Anyone who knows me well will tell you that I have a ribbon addiction.)

For my youngest, I used red and green plaid. The paper came from Innisbrook and everything else came from Nashville Wraps.

The last ones are for my youngest’s girlfriend. Silver branches with red berries. Papers are from Costco and Innisbrook, and ribbons and boxes are from Nashville Wraps.

If you want to order any of these box stacks https://www.nashvillewraps.com/boxes/nested-gift-box-sets/p-350, I would do it soon because some patterns may sell out. They also sell great gift boxes which are also featured above. Nashville Wraps shipping is super fast–they generally get your order out the same day. Innisbrook https://innisbrook.com/collections/christmas-wrapping-paper?page=2 and Cream City Ribbon https://creamcityribbon.com/ take several days to arrive.
Wrapping is often the worst part of the gift giving, and these boxes don’t have to be wrapped!
