A Tisket A Tasket A Green and Yellow Basket

The jumping off point for this table was a beautiful handmade stave basket that I found in a thrift shop in Atlanta for $12–unbelievable. Aldi had bunches of tulips for $4/10 tulips, so I bought 4 bunches. I put 5 wide mouth pint jars filled with water in the basket and arranged the tulips in the jars. Then I pulled out my child’s rain boots, my Bordalla Pinheiro frog pitcher and my metal frog.

For the place settings, I used my Wedgwood service plates, my Santa Anita “Anniversarie” plates, Villeroy and Boch “Basket” salad plates, Whitehall Iced Tea glasses, Anchor Hocking “Wexford” goblets, and some Williams-Sonoma napkins. Most of the items on this table are second hand.

This was our Easter table, but it would work for just about any spring occasion.
