Fall Table–#7

This table is definitely Halloween with the vulture skeleton and white pumpkins.

Fall Table–#6

This is another table that could work for either holiday, but feels a little more like Halloween than Thanksgiving. I perched some white pumpkins in footed silver dishes and put my dried lunaria in some silver toned containers and finished it with some silver/pewter candle holders.

Fall Table–#5

This is a more involved table–more suited to a dinner party or Thanksgiving get together. I have some neutral earthenware that I thought would be perfect because it’s the same color as my table cloth. I used the terra cotta runner to break up the all neutral look. I filled the small crock with astilbe,Continue reading “Fall Table–#5”

Fall Table–#4

This table is more of an everyday look that you could leave out to add a little pizazz to your nightly meals. This cloth is more terra cotta colored than it looks on my screen. I used a dark wicker basket and wooden bowls for the pumpkins, squashes, gourds, and apples.

Fall Table–#3

I guess that this could be either a Halloween or Thanksgiving table, but it feels more like Halloween to me with all the ghostly white pumpkins and candles against a scarf with all the fall colors and plenty of black. I really love white pumpkins because they work so well for either holiday. (BTW–check outContinue reading “Fall Table–#3”

Wedding Flowers

My niece celebrated with her east coast family and friends this past weekend in Chattanooga, TN. We had worked on the elements of the table decor since last year about this time when I found some driftwood that when cut up for the firepit revealed a really cool design. Shortly after that, I found aContinue reading “Wedding Flowers”

Fall Tables–#2

I started this table with the natural washed linen tablecloth with a beautiful embroidered table runner from Pottery Barn. I love the colors in this table runner. Perfect for fall get togethers. I used a teak tray from Sweden with pumpkins, squashes and gourds and verdigris metal containers with green apples. I added some shineContinue reading “Fall Tables–#2”

Fall Table #1

I am going to post a series of tables that you could use for any fall occasion, or for Thanksgiving. There will probably also be some Halloween specific tables thrown in for good measure. For this one, I used a wool throw over my natural washed linen table cloth. I love the colors in thisContinue reading “Fall Table #1”

Sweet Potatoes Two Ways

We dug our sweet potatoes last night and at first I thought it was going to be a puny harvest, but the last few plants we dug up had some crazy big sweet potatoes. The skin on these was really scarred and I wasn’t sure if they were going to have something wrong with them,Continue reading “Sweet Potatoes Two Ways”
