I have several pots and wall baskets around the house. Here’s how they are doing: The past week has been nice and warm and these babies have really started growing. Are you going to put in a vegetable garden this year? What are your favorites?

We had some extremely cold weather over the Easter weekend. Fortunately everything came through okay with only minor damage on a few plants. I hope that your spring gardening is going well.

I love hostas. They come in such a fantastic variety of colors, textures, sizes and shapes. Some have an added bonus of having beautiful flowers that smell great too. Here are some of mine: If you haven’t tried hostas before, I hope you will give them a chance.

Last year we bought several stock tanks to use as raised beds for our vegetables. We made the concrete on the south side of the shed large enough to accommodate them. We finally finished dividing the strawberry plants that we have been growing in this area since we bought the house. We gave hundreds of plants away because they were so crowded. I took a chance and sprinkled cosmos, lunaria, larkspur, and zinnia seeds in the cutting garden. We have lots of baby plants coming up. They are a little hard to see, but they are there!
