I have a set of Villeroy and Boch Albertina salad plates and they were the inspiration for this table–they have paler versions of all the traditional Thanksgiving colors. They have a blue band on the rim, so I used blue pitchers, a blue covered casserole and a blue canister. I purchased flowers from Trader Joe’sContinue reading “Fun and Fresh Thanksgiving”

Fall for Owls
I found these owls during my thrifting trip to Atlanta and I think that they’re just great, so I built a tablescape around them. I used a white cloth and a jute runner and added a vase of dried lunaria, natural bowl fillers from my office, little wooden boxes from around the house, a woodenContinue reading “Fall for Owls”
Painterly Place Settings
I found some great salad plates in the pattern Vincent by Sakura which inspired this table. I used Ballard Designs for Southern Living Putty colored dinner plates with the Vincent salad plates, Lenox brown water glasses, and stained glass wine glasses. I added some art books, orange flowers, and containers with paint brushes. It’s soContinue reading “Painterly Place Settings”
Garden Table Version 2.0
Here’s another version of the garden table with more pink in it thanks to the darling Villeroy and Boch Perugia cream soup bowls. I used Oneidacraft Weave dinner plates and Noritake Sweet Swirl light green iced tea glasses. I think it’s awfully cute.
Feeling Froggy–Table Decor
When our friends were in town a few weeks back, I put together this super cute frog inspired table. I started with this printed tablecloth in greens, yellows and blue on a cream background. Then I added a green pitcher filled with yellow and white flowers; a yellow container with flowers and a vintage frogContinue reading “Feeling Froggy–Table Decor”
Bright and Cheerful Table
My zinnias are going absolutely crazy and providing great cover for my sweet potato vines. There are TONS of yellow and orange zinnias in the mix, so I created this table to use them. I found a pale yellow Southern Living brand flower arranging container (the lid has holes in it to hold the stems)Continue reading “Bright and Cheerful Table”
Lunaria Wreath–Use What You Have Decor
If you have been following along, you saw my post about the lunaria volunteers that I have growing at the edge of our yard and around the compost pile. We really have a LOT of it, so I decided to make a wreath out of them which will mimic the eucalyptus wreaths you see everywhere.Continue reading “Lunaria Wreath–Use What You Have Decor”
By the Seashore…
We had people coming for dinner and I didn’t want to go and get flowers, so I improvised with items that I have on hand. I love the aqua glass lanterns and shells on top of the sisal runner. I used Wedgwood Maxadura Chargers and tan plates from Ballard Designs and aqua napkin in woodenContinue reading “By the Seashore…”
Accidental Perennial Bed
I must have thrown some lunaria stalks into the compost pile, because there are a BUNCH of lunaria (money plant) back there doing just great. We had these at our old house and they seemed to love growing in the woods, so it’s not surprising that they’re doing so well. This is such a greatContinue reading “Accidental Perennial Bed”
Thrift Store Score
I went to the thrift store and found this fantastic Pfaltzgraff Soup Tureen. I thought I would be able to sell it on ebay and make a little money, but it’s incomplete, because it doesn’t have the ladle or the underplate…bummer. So, I am going to use the bottom a different way. Looks like aContinue reading “Thrift Store Score”
