This is everything but the kitchen sink table. I used just about all my Easter items, orchids, green planter with grass, silver julep cups with grass, and foil wrapped chocolate scattered about. I set the table with pastel Fiesta ware plates, green salad plates, and yellow mugs. It is truly a riot of color.

Easter Table–Number 3
This table is the same as yesterday’s except I used the green planter with grass and eggs for the center of the table. Small change, but a big difference.
Easter Table–Number 2
This table features a lot of blue, green, and yellow. I used two composite bunnies, a coir bunny, green hobnail votive holders filled with chocolate eggs, two milk glass hen on nest, some little paintings, and the cute egg cups. I set the table with some Pimpernel place mats for a brunch buffet.
Easter Table–Number 1
This is my perfectly symmetrical table. I used two white orchids, three silver julep cups with grass and butterflies, two porcelain bunnies, two milk glass hens on nest and cute egg cups with chocolates as place cards. I set the table with Wedgwood Amherst and green and white napkins.
Perfect Lemon Squares
I love lemon squares. They are one of my favorite desserts–so tangy and lemony. Yummy perfection. Sometimes, however, the ratio of crust to filling is disappointingly even and I prefer more filling to crust. Here’s what I do to boost the ratio. I use a 15 x 10 pan and make 1 1/2 recipes ofContinue reading “Perfect Lemon Squares”
Birthday Flowers
A friend of mine just had a birthday so I am bringing lunch and flowers to her relatively new office. I got a a mixed bouquet and roses from Aldi and put them in a clear glass vase with green and white striped ribbon. I stuck a few pieces of pothos that I had rootedContinue reading “Birthday Flowers”
Easter Table Preparations–Alert
I am going to post some Easter tables in the days before the holiday. I am going to use real grass in cute containers. I am growing some for a really cute green planter and silver julep cups. I am also planting some for some little metal pails–I had to cut down some solo cupsContinue reading “Easter Table Preparations–Alert”
Trip to the Flower Farm Table
I saw on the news over the weekend that a local farm would be selling tulips, so we drove over to get some. (It’s the same place we got strawberries last year, although, they had trouble getting strawberry plants last fall, so they don’t have nearly as many planted as last spring.) Anyway, it wasContinue reading “Trip to the Flower Farm Table”
Delicious Dinner Salad
We often have a hearty vegetarian salad for dinner. That’s what we did the other night. With the beans and the cheese, this salad has enough heft for a light dinner or lunch. You can substitute cannellini beans, navy beans, or garbanzo beans for the great northern beans–I just really like the texture of theContinue reading “Delicious Dinner Salad”
Gyro Burgers
This is a rerun from last year, but we had Gyro Burgers last night because I found ground lamb at the grocery this week. I LOVE gyros and souvlaki sandwiches. We hadn’t had the gyro burgers in a while, so it was definitely time to put them back in the rotation. These are super easyContinue reading “Gyro Burgers”
