I bought some tiny romaine and red leaf lettuce plants about 3 weeks ago. They are doing great. Lettuce is easy and fast to grow. I highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t before. I have several pots and wall baskets around the house. Here’s how they are doing: The past week has been nice and warm and these babies have really started growing. Are you going to put in a vegetable garden this year? What are your favorites?

We had some extremely cold weather over the Easter weekend. Fortunately everything came through okay with only minor damage on a few plants. I hope that your spring gardening is going well.

I love hostas. They come in such a fantastic variety of colors, textures, sizes and shapes. Some have an added bonus of having beautiful flowers that smell great too. Here are some of mine: If you haven’t tried hostas before, I hope you will give them a chance.
