Fall for Owls

I found these owls during my thrifting trip to Atlanta and I think that they’re just great, so I built a tablescape around them. I used a white cloth and a jute runner and added a vase of dried lunaria, natural bowl fillers from my office, little wooden boxes from around the house, a woodenContinue reading “Fall for Owls”

Wine Tasting Dinner

I found a set of Herend Village Pottery “Vineyard” dishes at a local antique store that has really good prices. I don’t think that these dishes have ever been used–they are in nearly mint condition. Given the name of the pattern, doing a wine tasting dinner with various wines and wine labels and some candleContinue reading “Wine Tasting Dinner”

Child’s Birthday Party

I found these super adorable dinner plates by Gibson–4 at one thrift store and 2 at another thrift store while I was in Atlanta. The blue in the bands is PERFECT with my Fiestaware Lapis bowls. I did tumblers instead of stemware–the larger tumbler is by Duralex, and the smaller tumbler is by Pasabahce. ForContinue reading “Child’s Birthday Party”

Welcome to the 90’s

I did handblown glass balls in a large silver bowl as a centerpiece because they mirror the colors in the glasses and theContinue reading “Welcome to the 90’s”

Bon Voyage

I found the cutest mini-globes that are meant to hang up and those were the inspiration for this travel table. I added some books about various places, binoculars, and old cameras. I used Johnson Brothers Athena dinner plates, and Pottery Barn Ava salad plates, Libbey Gibraltar water goblets, and Libbey footed coolers. This kind ofContinue reading “Bon Voyage”

Painterly Place Settings

I found some great salad plates in the pattern Vincent by Sakura which inspired this table. I used Ballard Designs for Southern Living Putty colored dinner plates with the Vincent salad plates, Lenox brown water glasses, and stained glass wine glasses. I added some art books, orange flowers, and containers with paint brushes. It’s soContinue reading “Painterly Place Settings”
