The Perennial Bed–HOSTAS!

I love hostas. They come in such a fantastic variety of colors, textures, sizes and shapes. Some have an added bonus of having beautiful flowers that smell great too. Here are some of mine:

This one is Lemon Lime. It grows and spreads quickly. I have loads of these and they all came from a single one gallon pot that I bought about 10 years ago.
I think that this one is Mini Mouse
This one is Praying Hands–it is quite small and a slow grower.
I don’t remember the name of this one, but what a stunner.
The hosta in the background is Blue Krossa Royal, or something like that. It has gorgeous blue leaves, but has to have plenty of shade for them to stay blue.
This is a Sum and Substance Hosta–a huge crinkly leaved chartreuse beauty
This is a hosta that came with the farm. I have no idea what kind it is, but it is prolific. I have probably gotten over a hundred plants from the one that we started with.

If you haven’t tried hostas before, I hope you will give them a chance.
