We are having dinner with my mother in law and my mother and family for Mother’s Day. We haven’t had a gathering this big at our house since the pandemic began, so time to pull out all the stops.
My thought process started with the white and black canisters that have silhouettes of a boy and a girl on them. I wanted a lot of flowers, so I pulled out a cake plate and a variety of white pitchers from milk sized to teeny tiny. I add the black lanterns for a little more black on the table.
I used red and pink roses and cotton candy pink mini carnations for the flowers. I will add some greenery, but they didn’t have any where I bought the flowers. I had some dark chocolate mints in gorgeous aqua foil left from the baby boy baptism table I did, so I put those in some white dishes.
I love this vintage cloth. I did a holiday table with it a couple years ago and it was so cute and retro. What looks like green in the cloth is actually an aqua color, so I used my aqua napkins with molded white porcelain napkin rings which bring to mind a Tiffany box, and what woman doesn’t love that? I used some molded white porcelain plates that look like lettuce leaves and quite spring like.

Lovely once again Love Mom
