This is a low key version of a Thanksgiving table that avoids all the vivid orange, red, and yellow.
I set 3 log slices down the center of the table and on those, I put a gray vase of dried lunaria that I picked back in the summer, and two wood look turkeys. The places are set with John Taylor Ceramics “Harvest” dinner plates, Libbey Gibraltar water glasses, and some pretty russet napkins to bring out the red in the plates.

For folks who are local, I am teaching a tablescaping class at the Museum Center at 5ive Points on November 16th from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets are available now on their website. I’ll be covering lots of stuff, and there will be two Christmas tables and two Thanksgiving tables that we’ll be discussing.
