Silent Night

I have had these little cardboard houses for years and finally put them together for this table. It’s a really simple centerpiece–just the 3 houses and the church, along with some mercury glass and porcelain trees, and a couple strands of shiny brite glass garland in pale blues, golds, and white. So serene, like a peaceful village on a snowy Christmas night.

The place settings are Wedgwood Maxadura service plate, RAK buffet plates, and Martha Stewart for Macy’s rimmed soup bowls. I used a tan napkins to echo the color of the houses. Most of the place settings were thrifted–service and dinner plates and the bowls.

I didn’t turn on the overhead lights so you could see the flameless tea lights glowing inside the buildings.
