Greenery from the Grocery Elevates Garden Flowers

This year I planted a couple new varieties of Zinnias–Agave and Ballerina from Johnny’s Selected Seeds (I love their stuff–great quality.) They are really stunning and have some ENORMOUS Blooms. I wanted to do a statement arrangement for our peninsula when we had friends come in for the weekend. I wanted to use a large vase (that I found at the thrift store last year) and knew that I would need to have something to add structure so that the flowers didn’t all rest against the sides of the vase. I had my local grocery order me a pack of Lemon Leaf (one of my favorites). I also used this in my Blue and Yellow/Gold table.

I also used Benary Giant and Queenie Zinnias as well as dill seed heads. I think that Dill is gorgeous as a cut flower.
