Ralph Lauren Christmas Table

Apparently, this is the look of the season, so, of course, I had to give it a whirl. I had everything in the photos, except for the brass deer.

I started with a blue oxford tablecloth (that was made years ago from a Ralph Lauren flat sheet) and topped it with a Pendleton wool throw in blues and red. I added the brass deer, the assortment of brass candlesticks, and faux greenery and pine cones.

The place settings are my Wedgwood MaxaDura Service plates, red checked napkins, Churchill Blue Willow plates, Blue Dynasty Salad plates, Fostoria Iced Tea glasses, and some Pasabache double old fashioned glasses.

I have always liked brass candlesticks, so I continued buying them when brass was WAY out and everyone wanted white and nickel. Everything comes back around eventually. You should ALWAYS buy what you like, and not worry about what’s in.
The rectilinear design on the glasses mirrors the lines in the plaid throw and the checked napkins.
I used the Blue Dynasty plates to cover some of the “busy-ness” of the blue willow plates.

I think that this table is a pretty successful interpretation of this fad, and nice that I had most everything I needed to recreate it.
