Hall Bathroom Reveal

Here’s a reminder of what it looked like when we bought the house.

And here’s what it looks like now.

I want to point out some special details that we think make the bathroom unique.

This is a modern inset medicine cabinet with a beveled mirror door. The sconces are vintage ones that I found on Etsy.
We used a rain head shower head plus a hand held shower head in the shower. There are 2 corner shelves to hold shampoo, etc. I didn’t like the shower curtain we were using with the new bathroom so I have ordered a couple to try. We’ll see.
We decided to use a black toilet seat/lid after visiting the Henry Ford museum and saw similar ones there.
I added a little cafe curtain to bring in some color–the towels and the wall color are pulled from this fabric.
We bought this vent cover from ventcovers.com and it’s perfect. It was expensive, but is really well made. My husband is the one who opened the package and he said it was worth the cost (and he’s really picky.)
The handles on the cabinet doors remind me of the Greek key design in the tile border of the floor.
We couldn’t have a standard drain set up since the faucet is wall mounted, so we did this.
This faucet is so gorgeous. I love how a wall mounted faucet looks and I also love the little shelf to set things on while getting ready.
Storage space for linens is in short supply, so we bought a shelf to help out. It also serves as a towel bar. The bullnose and pencil detail in the wall tile is stunning.
I think every bathroom should have a robe hook, so we added one here.
The last thing we’re going to do is to change the white switches and outlet to black. This photo also shows the beadboard ceiling which I love so much.

We’re so happy with how this bathroom turned out. It took a while to finish, but it’s so worth it.
