The flowers that I used for a large bouquet on our peninsula when we had everyone in for the weekend inspired this tablescape. I took the flowers that were still in good shape and placed them in a couple of yellow containers by Southern Living. There weren’t quite enough to fill both containers, so I cut some more zinnias from the garden.
Then, I used a really pretty terra cotta linen runner for a base and put the containers of flowers on top. Then I used my Wedgwood Maxa Dura service plates, Royal Stafford “Hedgerow” dinner plates, Villeroy and Boch Bonjour Madame Salad plates, etched dessert, water and wine glasses, a pretty periwinkle/blue napkin, and flatware.
Here’s how it looks:

The colors of the flowers and the runner and containers are absolutely perfect with this place setting. Such a happy table! And just about all of it came from consignment stores, thrift stores, and ebay.
