Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Honey and Balsamic Glaze

One of our favorite restaurants in Chattanooga, TN (The Feed Table and Tavern) has some delicious crispy brussels sprouts, so I went about to try to replicate them.

First I pared the brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Then I brought salted water to a boil and blanched them for 5 minutes and drained them, but I didn’t rinse them.

I heated some bacon drippings in a skillet over medium high heat. Once hot, I added the brussels sprouts in a single even layer, cut side down.

I let them cook until they were quite brown on that side and flipped them over.

Once they browned on that side, I poured them into a bowl and drizzled honey and balsamic glaze over them and sprinkled them with Kosher salt and bacon bits and tossed them together.

We had already dug into them by the time I thought to take this photo. They were really good. I cooked another pan of them and will reheat them in the air fryer.

These were definitely a hit with my husband, but they would be difficult to do for a crowd.
