I have been watching a florist on YouTube who does absolutely stunning arrangements. It was my birthday last week and I met a friend for lunch to celebrate. We happened to be right across the street from Trader Joe’s, so I ran in to get some flowers, because I felt like playing.
I bought white and pink alstromeria, peach garden roses, eucalyptus, hypericum berries (St. John’s Wort), some green filler flowers, large mums, and a white filler flower (I don’t remember the name.) All the flowers to create this arrangement came in at $60.
Since it’s fall, I decided to use a beautiful brass container that I found at the thrift store for $6. It was the perfect size and the flowers I bought filled it completely. I used a stainless steel bowl to hold the floral foam and water so that I wouldn’t have water directly in the brass vessel.
I should have taken photos as I went along, but I didn’t feel confident about how it would turn out. I think it turned out well. Here it is:

The woman I have been watching on YouTube is Catherine Bergman who is from Northern California. I love the materials she chooses and she uses a lot of things from her yard/garden.
